About Me

Buongiorno!

My name is Lorena Gavazzoni and I live in Pavia, a cute town about half-hour far from Milano.

I started to teach online in April 2015 and since then I met more than 100 students from all over the world, completed more than 600 lessons and collected a certain amount of heartwarming feedback.

The thing I love the most about my job is when we laugh together during a lesson, or when we exchange our opinions on a topic, or when we realize that despite the distance our lives are not that different.

I am certified to teach Italian as a foreign language, I have a Master's Degree in Foreign Languages and I taught both children and adults, in Italy and in the UK.

However, these are not the most important things you should know about me...

I like animals - and I have a weakness for my dog Zeno - evergreen trees, ice cream, Federico Fellini, the river that flows through my town, hula hoops, the bridge that crosses the river that flows through my town, baking, Italo Calvino, long dresses, bikes, beer and open minded people.

I don't like mushy movies, artichokes, dogs that don't like my dog, falling from my bike, cold showers, missing trains, card games, uncomfortable shoes, overcooked pasta and closed minded people.

And that's my teaching page!
